These are Chettyz bath powders: powder washes for your daily bath and for the traditional oil bath. There are three to choose from, and all are for external use only. They are not food powders or drink mixes.
Which bath powder should I choose?
- Kuppaimeni bath powder (250 g) is a herbal blend built around kuppaimeni, a plant long used in Tamil homes.
- Panner rose bath powder (150 g) is a rose and herbal blend.
- Multifloral bath powder (250 g) is a herbal powder with a blend of flowers.
Check each product page for its ingredient information before ordering.
How do I use a bath powder?
Take out only what you need with a dry spoon and put it in a separate bowl. Mix it as directed on the pack, apply, and rinse off well. Never add water to the pack itself, and store the closed pack away from splashes and bathroom steam.
What is the Deepavali oil bath?
Ennai kuliyal is how many Tamil families begin Deepavali morning, and some keep the custom every Saturday. Warm nallennai is applied to the hair and body, and a bath powder is used to wash it off before new clothes go on. Our Diwali combo brings sesame oil, kuppaimeni bath powder and two cotton towels together.
